SENIOR TRANSMISSION LINE ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER to join Commonwealth Associates, Inc.’s team in Mount Vernon, Washington. We are seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer for our Mount Vernon, Washington, office. The successful candidate will be a licensed professional engineer with a BS or MS degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience associated with route selection, structure design, foundation design, material specifying, construction bid document preparation, and design/construction liaison relating to the design of electric transmission lines. Experience in using PLS-CADD software is also required. Must be capable of serving as a Project Manager and have experience in writing proposals and technical reports, visiting clients, and completing designs to meet clients’ needs. This position may include acting in a leadership role for project staff within 6 months to a year. SUBSTATION DESIGN ENGINEER to join Commonwealth Associates, Inc.’s team in Mount Vernon, Washington. We are seeking candidates who have a BSEE or MSEE degree and 5 or more years of experience in the design of high-voltage substation facilities rated 12.5 kV, preferably with an electric utility or consulting engineering firm. Experience with protection, controls, metering, and instrumentation; substation outdoor arrangements and layout; and substation major equipment and specifications is desired. Candidates should also have experience in writing proposals and technical reports and interacting with clients,

Preferred candidates are licensed Professional Engineers. Individuals who have successfully completed the FE examination and are capable of becoming registered in the State of Washington will also be considered.
