PROJECT FIELD SERVICES
CAI’s Project Field Services Department furnishes a variety of services designed to aid clients in achieving the successful completion of their projects. This department encompasses the following: construction management, right-of-way acquisition, distribution field services, surveying, and project control. CAI uses a unique team approach, with specific services tailored to meet the exact needs of each client. Our services are outlined below.
Construction Management
CAI offers professional services in support of transmission line and substation projects through the assignment of experienced construction specialists. Most of these personnel have direct construction experience and have performed the duties of a lineman, foreman, or superintendent. Each staff member is dedicated to serving each client's best interest during construction.
Right-of-Way Acquisition
CAI places a high emphasis on the professional, technical, ethical, and moral standards required for successful right-of-way acquisition. Right-of-way agents must be able to relate to the client, landowner, government agencies, environmentalists, and engineers to perform their work properly. A high emphasis is placed on public relations throughout the work, keeping in mind that the right-of-way agent is considered a direct representative of the utility.
Surveying
CAI has on staff personnel who are familiar with all of the modern electronic survey equipment and computer methods of performing survey computations. CAI is familiar with the full range of photogrammetric services and products and up-to-date procedures for conventional field surveying. CAI personnel are also well acquainted with several qualified aerial and ground survey firms that are available to provide such services. CAI can provide administrative services for acquiring and overseeing the necessary surveying effort, or can provide complete services by subcontract.
Project Control Services
CAI offers the most up-to-date computer methods available for project control services. CAI utilizes microcomputers and popular software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera to assist in providing planning and scheduling; budget monitoring and performance evaluation; estimates and cash; flow information processing, such as status reports; and resource planning and monitoring.
