“One is a member of a profession, a civilization…one is not just a man.” -Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

The Foote brothers, who started the Commonwealth legacy, transformed their surrounding communities with pioneering engineering feats – from streetlights to hydro dams to long-distance high-voltage lines that brought people from around the globe to see something that had never been done before. Today, Commonwealth is proud to continue the tradition of making a transformative, positive impact on the world around us.

Certainly, our professional work on clients’ projects contributes a lot to those communities, and our offices and employment opportunities are enriching the communities in which we operate... but we don’t stop there. We are committed, both as individuals and as a corporation, to taking positive action, starting within our corporate walls and reaching outward, and creating lasting and powerful connections that enhance people's lives.

Commonwealth's volunteer Connect Committee focuses on creating connections in 3 distinct areas: Culture, Compassion, and Community. By identifying opportunities for interaction and service, planning fun events, and communicating the vision, we create an exciting and rewarding workplace, inspire those around us, and make the world a better place for our communities and our employees.
