Organizational:

This position reports to the assigned supervisor.

Objective:

The Proposal Assistant should understand the full marketing concept and be familiar with ways to analyze market and client needs. The Proposal Assistant will work alongside the Proposal Lead and other members of the marketing team providing coordination of various prequalification and proposal responses, including thorough review of client solicitations, work product planning, and completing and ensuring the timely delivery of high quality materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts administrative tasks related to the bid pursuit, including setting up and maintaining files and records
  • Coordinate and participate in kick off call discussions to develop case-specific proposal response strategy, tasks list, work plan, notes from meetings, etc.
  • Coordinates and directly participates in the editing, proofing and production of qualification statements and proposals globally. Individual is responsible for overall quality of documents and materials submitted
  • Researches pertinent information as needed for qualifications and proposal preparation
  • Helps to coordinate proposal related enhancements, including supporting graphics, images, callout boxes to punctuate sales messaging
  • Summarization, distribution and call invitations to key members
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or related field. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook. Adobe InDesign knowledge preferred. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States

Objective:

Commonwealth Associates, Inc. currently serves clients in the oil & gas industry from our traditional engineering disciplines within our Power Generation and Energy division and wishes to answer our oil & gas client's call to provide more natural gas compression and process equipment design scope to the projects. The intent of this position would be to integrate into power generation project work and establish cross-functional capability while growing our scope within the gas transmission and storage industry. The candidate should therefore be a person who is looking to learn and add capabilities to their skill base.

Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of B31.8 and with applicable codes such as ASME B31.3, B31.4 and DOT Parts 192 and Part 195, and API specifications
  • Preparation of various process calculations including pipe sizing, control valve and equipment sizing
  • Trouble-shooting existing systems in the field, determine modifications to existing systems to change performance, etc.
  • Prepares piping flow diagrams and directs equipment layouts
  • Prepares technical mechanical specifications
  • Prepares mechanical data sheets and equipment descriptions/sizing
  • Preparation of various facility studies including pipe, valve, and equipment sizing

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, from an ABET accredited program; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem solving skills; and licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) required. This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Objective:

Commonwealth Associates, Inc. is looking for a Project Manager with a desire to apply technical experience while engaging entrepreneurial spirit. This position will integrate personal communication and technical skills and apply them to challenging and diverse power and energy projects, including: central utility plants, power generation (combined cycle, combined heat and power, traditional solid fuel, renewable), chiller plants, boiler plants, and similar design and construction projects or studies. Client market segments include IOUs, IPPs, universities, industrial facilities, hospitals, and other facilities with central utility plants.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplined teams and work effectively across multiple offices
  • Responsible for preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, studies, and be able to take projects from inception to completion
  • Facilitate environmental permits for power projects on behalf of clients
  • Develop economic pro formas in support of project development
  • Identify new clients and opportunities while maintaining existing relationships and performing general marketing of the company
  • Management of projects, teams, clients, scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Applicant must be able to grow into the position of leading an Energy and Power PM practice in one or more of the market segments

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, mechanical emphasis preferred, from an ABET accredited program; a minimum of 20 years of related consulting experience, in addition to or including 10 years of detailed design experience in candidate's discipline; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem solving skills; and licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) required. This position requires an experienced and competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.

Objective:

Under the guidance of a Project Manager, the Associate Project Manager (APM) is responsible for the administrative coordination and support of project planning, delivery, and controls. The APM will take direction from Project Managers to support the project lifecycle to include but not limited to; coordinating and assisting in the development of electronic and or written materials for presentations and status reports, maintaining and updating project logs, entering and maintaining cost estimates, managing the project budget, tracking project timelines and schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
  • Schedules and attends cross functional project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking notes, sending out relevant updates, etc.
  • Creates project plans and prepares workflow charts and diagrams to ensure effective use of resources in meeting business needs
  • Tracks projects issues, works with team on resolution, follows up on team deliverables
  • Assists in preparation of time and cost estimates for completing projects
  • Assist in the closeout of completed projects
  • Assists in resolution of work problems with the Engineering Teams
  • Works with the project manager to forecast work via internal tools such as Deltek and Primavera P6
  • FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
  • Ensure project funding aligns with approved budgets
  • Validate/adjust monthly financial transactions
  • Track and report out financial health of the project(s)
  • Complete project change requests (PCRs) to manage project variances related to scope, schedule or budget
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to complete tasks under strict time constraints

Qualifications:

4-year degree in related field; 2-4 years of progressive broad-based business analysis and project management experience and business experience; Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, internally and client facing; Proficient in all MS Office tools; Nimble, and able to react quickly to changing business needs; Ability to facilitate discussion and drive consensus; Ability to work effectively independently as well as in cross-functional teams; Able to work effectively and efficiently toward detailed goals in a complex, matrixed environment with ever-changing demands; Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills; Willingness to study for and pass the PMP exam
