82nd Street Transmission Line Relocation Phase 2

Indianapolis Power & Light

Commonwealth prepared an Erosion and Sediment Control Plan for the relocation of approximately one mile of 138 kV transmission line due to an Indianapolis Department of Public Works road-widening project. The plan incorporated soil erosion measures and Best Management Practices per U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Indiana Department of Environmental Management standards. Commonwealth prepared the Notice of Intent and filed for National Pollution Discharge Elimination System permits. Commonwealth also coordinated a wetland delineation of the new right of way and access routes and a habitat assessment for the northern long-eared bat and the Indiana bat, both listed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as “Threatened” in Marian County, Indiana.
